About Me

I am an analytics developer at Spiceworks in Austin, TX, interested in large data sets, beautiful visualizations, and unexpected connections.  I received my PhD in mathematics from Rice University, studying with Dr. Robert Hardt. My research was in geometric analysis using the tools of geometric measure theory. My dissertation studied minimizers of a vector-valued coarea functional using analytic, geometric and variational means. If you are interested, please contact me, or see my research statement.

Topics posted here are not limited to any single branch of mathematics or programming, and often represent me working through a particular topic for myself.  There should also be lots of nice pictures and continually improving code snippets.

Plans for the future include a github repo to store code.
